Huskies volleyball sweeps Milaca

On Homecoming night for the Albany Huskies volleyball team, the visiting Milaca Wolves left town with a 3-0 loss in Granite Ridge Conference action. The Huskies are 10-9 overall with the win and travel to Zimmerman next Tuesday. The Thunder are 9-6 overall but 0-4 in the GRC.

Don't miss the big Homecoming football game on Friday night, when the Huskies take on Becker with a 7 p.m. kickoff.

Huskies volleyball team rebounds at Class 2A Showcase

After a tough Friday night for the Albany Huskies volleyball team, they rebounded with a 2-1 record on Saturday at the Class 2A Showcase tournament.

Huskies football drops close one at Milaca

The Milaca Wolves stunned the visiting Albany Huskies football team with a 14-13 win on Friday night for their first win of the season.

The Huskies fall to 1-3 with the loss.

Volleyball team sweeps Thunder

The Albany Huskies volleyball team improved their overall record above .500 last night with a 3-0 win over sub-section rival Long Prairie-Grey Eagle. Now 6-5 overall, 2-2 Granite Ridge Conference, their next competition is on Friday at the Class 2A showcase tournament in Burnsville. The Huskies open up with Visitation (10-1, 4-0 Tri-Metro Conf.) at 4 p.m.

Huskies volleyball wins thriller over Little Falls

The Albany Huskies volleyball team won a five-game match over Little Falls tonight in Granite Ridge Conference action.

Now winners of four straight to climb above .500 at 4-3 overall, the Huskies travel to Mora this Thursday for another conference match. The Mustangs will provide stiff competition, as they are the defending Section 7AA champion and hold a 7-2 record so far this year.

Albany football team gets first win of the season

The Albany Huskies football team evened their record at 1-1 and started off the Granite Ridge Conference schedule with a wild 36-34 win over Little Falls on the home field tonight. They travel to SCSU's Husky Stadium next Friday to face St. Cloud Cathedral next week in another Granite Ridge Conference game. The Crusaders are 1-1 after they leveled Mora 42-12 tonight in their conference opener.

Huskies volleyball wins conference opener

On the home court tonight, the Albany Huskies volleyball team won their Granite Ridge Conference opener 3-0 over Foley. Game scores were 25-7, 25-16, 25-21.

The Huskies boys' cross country team took second place at the Holdingford meet tonight with 44 points. Holdingford won the meet with a score of 42. Kevin Lamb led Albany with a fourth-place finish and a time of 17:55.61.
