The Albany Huskies volleyball team earned something they've been looking forward to all season long.
A rematch with the Mainstreeters of Sauk Centre.
The Huskies got what they wanted by defeating a senior-dominated Long Prairie-Grey Eagle squad in three sets on Tuesday night in the Sub-Section 6AA-North semifinals.
In game three, the Thunder had a sizeable lead, but Albany stormed back to finish the match in three with game scores of 25-17, 25-16, 25-23.
Albany improved to 24-5 overall with their 13th straight win.
Two other Granite Ridge Conference teams are also still battling through their respective section playoffs. Mora will play for the Sub-Section 7AA-South title, while Zimmerman is in the Section 5AA Final Four round.
